#1: Pom Printed Ghost
Using craft poms is the best way to make a ghost craft for toddlers! I love the texture and how this one turned out.
This craft is perfect for kids to try for Halloween. It’s simple and turns out so cute.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- black cardstock paper
- white and pink paint
- poms
- clothespins
- pencil
- googly eyes
- glue
- marker
B. Set-up
Draw a ghost shape on the black paper so the kids will know where to create the prints with the poms.
C. Activity
Attach a craft pom to a clothespin. Then, have the kids dip their poms into white paint and make prints to make their ghosts!
Then, they will create cheeks for the ghost using pink paint and another pom.
Lastly, glue on googly eyes and make a face for the ghost using a black marker.

#2: Ghost Cutting Craft
I have the best and simplest cutting ghost craft for toddlers!
Cutting crafts make learning how to use scissors a lot more fun!
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- white cardstock paper
- Sharpie marker
- pink paint
- googly eyes
- glue
- scissors
B. Set-up
Create some ghost shapes on white paper and cut them out.
Have the kids create a face on each one with googly eyes, glue, and pink paint to make cheeks!
C. Activity
Make different lines at the bottom of the ghost (zig-zags, curvy, boxy, straight, etc.)
Have the kids use scissors to cut on the lines the best they can to make their ghosts.
Hang them up on the wall for a Halloween decoration!

#3: Fork Printed Ghosts
We love using forks to make prints for arts and crafts! This ghost craft for toddlers is adorable and fun to make.
I love being able to do activities with things that we have right at home.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- black cardstock paper
- acrylic paint
- fork
- googly eyes
- glue
- pencil
B. Set-up
Draw a few ghost shapes using a pencil on the black paper for the kids to see where they are supposed to make prints.
C. Activity
The kids will dip the fork into the paint and make prints on the side of the lines you drew. They may have to dip their fork back into the paint several times while making each ghost.
A tip I like to give parents who want to do these sorts of projects with their kids is to use a hair dryer to dry the artwork so they can keep working quickly and not wait until it dries. We use the hair dryer on low for a minute or two to dry the white paint!
Then, have the kids glue the googly eyes on each ghost and make a mouth using black paint.

#4: Leaf Ghosts
What a fun combination of a fall and Halloween craft! This is a must-try leaf craft this season.
Making ghosts out of leaves is easy, and they turn out cool.
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- leaves
- acrylic paint
- black Sharpie
- white chalk marker
B. Set-up
Head outside and have the kids pick some leaves! We chose to pick maple leaves because they are big and look more like ghosts, but you can use any sort of leaf for this project.
C. Activity
Have the kids paint the leaves using acrylic paint! We used white, orange, black, and purple for Halloween colors.
Let the leaves dry! This will take about 20 minutes.
Then, the kids will use a black marker to create the ghost’s face. If you decide to make a black leaf, they will use a white chalk marker to make a face!
You can even create decor using these leaves by using a hole puncher to punch a hole at the top of the leaves and string a string through it. Hang it up on the mantel!

B. Set-up
Draw a large ghost shape on white cardstock paper and cut it out.
C. Activity
Have the kids glue the ghost shape to a black piece of paper. Then, they will add a layer of glue around the ghost shape.
They will place cotton balls on the entire ghost!

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need

B. Set-up
Paint your little one’s foot white and make a print on black paper. Make sure to press down each toe to see the entire footprint. Then, slowly peel it up from the paper.
You can repeat their process with the other foot- but honestly, we just used the same foot and did it again, so we didn’t have to wash his feet and redo the whole process again. But you totally can do that!
C. Activity
Cut out the footprints and have the kids paste them onto black or orange paper using a glue stick. Then, they will use a black acrylic paint marker to make the ghost’s face.
Write a funny message like “Trick or Treat Smell my Feet.” This is an adorable Halloween card to give to someone like a grandparent, or keep it for yourself and hang it up at home!

B. Set-up
Cut a long piece of contact paper and tape it to the wall using painter’s tape. Then, with a Sharpie marker, draw a ghost shape and create eyes and a mouth.
C. Activity
Give your children cotton balls and have them stick them on the ghost! They are trying to fill in the entire ghost using cotton balls. It is so much fun for them to stick the cotton balls on the contact paper!

B. Set-up
Wrap a white coffee filter around a lollipop and tie a ribbon around it to make it stay.
