The cool thing about Oobleck is, is that it’s both liquid and solid at the same time.

When you tap it or pull it, the cornstarch molecules join together and it has solid properties. But when you leave them alone, they spread out and it’s a liquid.

Sometimes you just need that extra time to drink your coffee in the morning, so having something simple to make in just a few minutes is a win!

Here are the simple steps on how to make oobleck!

#1: Add 2 cups of cornstarch in a bowl.

#2: Then, add 1 cup of water to the cornstarch and drop a few drops of food coloring inside and mix with a spoon. You will need to use your hands eventually because it will get too hard to mix.

#3: That’s it! You now have oobleck! Couldn’t be easier right? Now it’s time to play!

If you want to make smaller batches if you want to do multiple colors like me, you can also do 1 cup cornstarch and a 1/2 cup water.
