Christmas Plates Handprint Gift
These adorable Christmas craft plates are fun and easy to make! These will make a great keepsake that you’ll put up around the house every year.
You can even use these for your cookies for Santa plate!

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- Glass or ceramic plates
- enamel acrylic paints (these are special glass paints)
- Sharpies
- Krylon acrylic paint sealer
B. Set-up
Spray your plate with acrylic paint clear sealer and let it dry (do this outside).
C. Step by Step Directions
#1: Paint your child’s hand using the enamel acrylic paints and make prints on the plate! We made a Christmas tree, reindeer, and did a mom & me one.
#2: Let the handprint dry before you add the details (lights on the tree, eyes for the reindeer, etc.) When adding these details we used the kid’s fingerprints!
#3: Once you add your details with the paints, let the paint dry for 24 hours.
#4: Now, it’s time to bake! Place the plate in a cool oven, bake it at 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and hit preheat.
#5: You are going to bake it for 30 minutes, turn off the oven, and let the glass cool.
$6: Then, you have your adorable keepsakes! By baking it in the oven, it helps the paint not chip over the years.
Final Thoughts and Conclusion
Making these Christmas plate handprint gifts is fun and easy! Families will love these keepsakes for years!
I do suggest using these for decor purposes and not to eat off them!
Happy Holidays!
