I have an example of a craft for each letter of the alphabet for you! Making letter crafts is a great way to teach your child the letters and beginning sounds.

Let’s get started with some letter preschool activities.
Letter A Apple Craft
Have your kids tried apple printing? It’s such a fun activity and the perfect letter preschool activity.
A is for apple! You can make an upper and lower case letter for each of these crafts or just focus on one.

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- cardstock paper
- apples
- washable paint (red, green, and yellow)
- art tray
- knife

B. Set-up
Cut an apple in half using a knife (make sure you are the one doing this part). Make sure both sides of the apple are smooth. Lastly, print and cut out the letters and paste them to cardstock paper.
C. Activity
Let your little one dip the apples into the washable paint on an art tray. They will make prints with the apples on the letter A.
Focusing on both the upper and lower case letters is crucial for children to know before entering kindergarten. They will be asked about both on the kindergarten readiness assessment.

#2: Letter B Bear Collage
This cute bear letter B craft collage is so much fun to make and it’s easy!
This letter preschool activity is a great way for kids to practice their handwriting skills!

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- construction paper
- pencil
- marker
- googly eyes
- glue stick
- scissors

B. Set-up
You can use my letter B bubble letter printout to craft this letter B. Along with the letter B is a handwriting line so your kids can work on writing the letter.
Or, if you are good at drawing bubble letters, don’t worry about using the printout!
C. Activity
Cut out the letter B and paste it onto paper. Next, make ears, a nose, and paws for the bear by making circles and semi-circles.
Use a glue stick to paste on all the parts! Then, lastly, add some googly eyes.
You can have the kids practice writing the letter B on the lines provided in the FREE printable!

#3: Caterpillar Letter C Craft
The kids will love making a caterpillar letter craft for the letter C!
My kids love scrunching up tissue paper, so they had a great time with this! This also goes along well with the book The Hungry Caterpillar.

There are a lot of different options for the letter C. You can create a C for clouds, a cat, or even cars!
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need

B. Set-up
On a green piece of construction paper, create a bubble letter C. Paste that to a white piece of cardstock.
C. Activity
Have your little ones scrunch up the pieces of tissue paper and glue them all over to cover the entire letter. Create a face by creating a circle on red cardstock. Then, glue googly eyes and two black pipe cleaners for the antenna!
You can also extend the learning by talking about how many poms it took to create the letter C.

#4: Dinosaur Letter Collage
Here’s another tissue paper scrunch letter craft. This time we are making a dinosaur for the letter D!
Making a dinosaur craft for the letter D is sure to be a hit.

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- tissue paper
- cardstock paper
- glue
- googly eye
B. Set-up
Make a bubble letter d on a piece of white cardstock paper with a marker.
Have your little one start scrunching up pieces of green tissue paper!
C. Activity
Put glue ALL over the letter d. They will be filling up the entire letter with scrunched tissue paper.
Start placing the scrunched-up tissue paper balls onto the letter.
Create spikes out of orange cardstock paper and glue them on the curve of the d.
Lastly, make a head shape using green cardstock paper and add a googly eye to finish your letter craft.

#5: Earth Letter E Craft
Marble art is a fun process for kids! They will love the outcome of this letter preschool activity.
This letter E craft is fun to create. My little guy is fascinated by the planets and outer space. This is a wonderful way to talk to your kids about our beautiful planet!

There are a lot of different options for the letter E. Some other options are to create an elephant, Elmo, or a cracked egg!
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- cardstock paper
- foam shaving cream
- blue and green food coloring
- toothpicks
- container
- art tray
B. Set-up
Create a letter E out of white cardstock paper. In a container, spray a little foam shaving cream and spread it out. Then, add a few squirts of blue and green food coloring.
C. Activity
The kids can use a toothpick to spread out the blue and green food coloring around the shaving cream! Then, they will place the letter E face down in the mixture then, pull it out and place it on an art tray.
You can scrape off the extra shaving cream to get your beautiful end result!

#6: Letter Collages
Ripping paper crafts is great for fine motor skills. This letter preschool activity is perfect for toddlers and preschoolers to practice the letter F.
This letter F craft is a wonderful way to talk to the kids about fire safety!

There are many different options for the letter F. Some other options are to create a frog, fireworks, or a fish!
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- black cardstock paper
- construction paper
- white crayon
- glue stick
B. Set-up
Draw the letter F on a black piece of cardstock paper, so the kids will know where to fill in the pieces of paper.
C. Activity
The kids will start ripping pieces of red, orange, and yellow construction paper.
Once they have enough to fill in the letter, they will use a glue stick to glue them down inside the letter F you drew.
Kids will love this letter F craft, and it’s a great way to talk about firefighters!

#7: Gumball Letter G Craft
G is for gumball! Your kids will love this adorable and colorful letter preschool activity.
It’s a fun paper craft that includes some fine motor skills when the kids stick on the dot stickers!

There are many different options for the letter G. Some other options are to create grapes, a giraffe, or a garden!
How to do this activity
A. Materials you need

B. Set-up
Draw a bubble letter G on white cardstock and cut it out. Then, create a top by making a semicircle from red cardstock as well as a bottom by making a trapezoid shape. Then, cut those shapes out as well!
On dot stickers, write a bunch of lower and upper case letter G’s.
C. Activity
Have your child peel off the dot stickers and place them inside the letter G. Go over the difference between the upper and lower case letters.
Glue the top and the bottom to the letter G using a glue stick!

This is a simple letter H craft that only requires paper, scissors, and a glue stick!
My daughter loves making hearts, it’s her favorite thing to draw, so she loved this letter craft.

How to do this activity

Create a bubble letter H on white paper and cut it out.
C. Activity
Paste the letter onto red paper. Then, draw some hearts!
Have the kids cut out the hearts and paste them onto the letter H. This is a simple and easy craft!

Do your kids love LEGO’s? This is such a fun letter craft to practice the letter I!
I is for an igloo! I like this craft, too, because it works on the short i sound- which is important when teaching this letter in the beginning.

How to do this activity

- LEGO’s
- blue cardstock
- pencil

B. Set-up
Create a bubble letter I on the blue cardstock paper. Cut it out, then get your paint and LEGO’s ready!
C. Activity
Have your little one dip the LEGO’s into the paint and create prints on the letter I.

#10: Letter J Jellyfish Craft
This letter preschool activity for the letter J is adorable and super easy.
J is for jellyfish! How adorable is this paper craft?

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- cardstock paper
- glue stick
- googly eyes
- glue
- marker

B. Set-up
Create a bubble letter J on pink paper, cut it out, and paste it onto blue paper.
C. Activity
Create a jellyfish head out of pink paper and paste it to the top of the letter you created.
Then, make the tentacles for the jellyfish and glue those underneath.
Make a face for the jellyfish and make waves in the water! This is a simple and fun craft to remember the letter J.

#11: Letter K King Craft
K is for kite! What an adorable letter preschool activity.
I love the cotton balls in the background for the sky too.

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- paper
- glue stick
- scissors
- cotton balls
- glue
B. Set-up
Create the letter K out of colored paper and paste it to blue paper.
C. Activity
Make several diamond shapes on paper and cut them out. Then, paste them around the letter K.
Use a marker to draw the string for each kite. You can also have the kids decorate each kite too!
Lastly, add a few cotton balls around the letter for the clouds.

#12: Letter L Lion Craft
I am obsessed with lion crafts. They are just so cute, so I knew we had to make a lion for the letter craft L.
This is a great scissor skills activity for the kids!

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- paper
- glue stick
- scissors
- googly eyes
- marker
B. Set-up
Draw a bubble letter L on yellow paper and paste it to white paper.
C. Activity
Then, you can draw some rectangles on orange and red paper for the kids to cut out.
While they are cutting, you can create a circle shape for the lion’s face and ears!
Paste the head and ears to the top of the letter. Then, the kids will paste the strips of paper around the face for the lion’s mane.
Lastly, make a face for the lion!

#13: Letter M Monster Craft
For the letter M, we created monsters! This was SO much fun because what kid doesn’t love to put 1,000 google eyes on their crafts?
This letter preschool activity is sure to be a hit, and the kids can be as creative as they want to make their monsters!

How to do this activity

- pom-poms

B. Set-up
Create a bubble letter M on a piece of cardstock with a marker!
C. Activity
You can either choose to cut the letter out or just keep it on the paper!
Have your little one use their creativity to make a monster. It can have a lot of eyes, teeth, hair, and warts all over.

#14: Letter N Noodle Craft
For the letter N, we created noodle art!
Painting pasta is one of our newest favorite activities! The colors turn out so cool, and it’s so fun to create many different things with the pasta noodles!

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- cardstock paper
- art tray
- pasta noodles
- acrylic paint
- paintbrush
- glue

B. Set-up
Create a bubble letter N on a piece of cardstock with a marker!
C. Activity
You can either choose to cut the letter out or just keep it on the paper!
Have your little one use the paintbrush to paint the noodles! We used bow-tie pasta and spiral pasta for this activity
After the noodles dry, have them glue the noodles to the letter N.

#15: Letter O Owl Craft
O is for owl! This is an adorable and easy letter preschool activity for the letter O.
We love making owl crafts. They always turn out so cute.

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- paper
- scissors
- glue stick
- googly eyes
- marker
B. Set-up
Create a bubble letter O on brown paper and cut it out.
C. Activity
Paste the O to white paper and make the owl’s head, wings, feet, and beak out of paper.
Paste these pieces in the correct spot to make an owl!
Make it look like feathers by adding some squiggly lines with a marker.

#16: Letter P Parrot Craft
For the letter P, we made a parrot! This is such a fun letter preschool activity for the kids to make!
Your kids will love using colorful feathers for crafting.

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- construction paper
- craft feathers
- glue
- scissors
- pencil
- googly eye

B. Set-up
Create a bubble letter P out of construction paper and cut it out. To create the center, poke a hole in the paper and cut it out!
C. Activity
Have the kids pick out what color feathers they want to use for the parrot. Then, have them glue the letter P down to a white piece of paper.
They should glue the feathers onto the side of the letter P!
Lastly, create a beak out of yellow construction paper and add a googly eye!

#17: Letter Q Queen Craft
For the letter Q, we created a queen craft! Q is a tough one because there aren’t a ton of options.
I chose this letter preschool activity because I knew the kids would love to decorate the queen’s crown!

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- construction paper
- glue stick
- scissors
- pencil
- gems
- glue

B. Set-up
Create an upper and lower case letter q by creating bubble letters on construction paper. Then, cut them out and have your little one paste them on a white piece of paper!
C. Activity
Create a crown out of yellow construction paper and paste it to the top of each letter. Then, have some gems or sequins ready for your little one to glue onto the crown!

#18: Letter R Rainbow Rice Craft
This letter preschool activity is so fun because it involves some sensory play.
For the letter R, we used rainbow rice! It was perfect because both rainbow and rice both start with the letter R.

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- cardstock paper
- marker
- rice
- liquid watercolors
- ziplock bag
- art tray
- parchment paper
- glue
B. Set-up
Create rainbow rice by adding a cup of rice to a plastic container or bag. Add a few drops of liquid watercolors inside. Then, shake it up and dump the rice on a piece of parchment paper that’s on an art tray to dry!
Repeat this process for all the colors of the rainbow!
Lastly, create a bubble letter R on a piece of paper!
C. Activity
Once the rice is dry, add some glue to the letter R. Have the kids sprinkle the rice on the letter! This is such a fun process! Your kids will love making rainbow rice! Any leftovers that you have can be used for other rice crafts or sensory play!

#19: Letter S Strawberry Craft
For the letter S, we created a strawberry! This was such a fun and easy project.
This letter preschool activity is simple and easy for toddlers and preschoolers to do!

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- construction paper
- white paper
- scissors
- glue stick
- black paint
- Q-tip
B. Set-up
Create a bubble letter S on red paper, then paste it to a piece of white paper. Then, create the green stem for each strawberry and paste it to the top of the letters.
C. Activity
Grab a paint tray and dump some black paint inside of it. Have the kids use a Q-tip to create some seeds on the strawberry! You can also use black beans and glue them on instead of using black paint!

#20: Letter T Turkey Crafts
Want to get your kids excited for a letter preschool activity? Add some Fruit Loops in!
For the letter T, we created a turkey! I love doing turkey crafts because you can use all the colors for the feathers! The projects always turn out cool.

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- construction paper
- Fruit Loops
- googly eyes
- glue stick
- glue
- scissors
- white paper
B. Set-up
Create a bubble letter T using brown paper! Add on googly eyes, an orange beak, and a red snood (side note: I laugh every time I write this word).
Make the turkey’s feathers using colored paper!
C. Activity
You’ll first want the kids to glue down the feathers, so it’s in the back of the turkey. Then, paste the letter T on top of the feathers.
Grab some Fruit Loops and have the kids work on color-matching skills! They can glue the Fruit Loops onto the turkey, or they can just place them on.
#21: Letter U Unicorn Craft
For this letter preschool activity, we just had to make a unicorn. It was a must- my daughter has been requesting this one since we started making alphabet crafts!
This is another letter craft that involves a short u and long u. For this specific craft, we worked on the long u sound.

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
B. Set-up
Create a bubble letter U on white paper and cut it out.
Create the unicorn’s face, tail, and hooves using white cardstock paper.
C. Activity
Have the kids paint both the face and the tail, and the hooves! We used rainbow colors for this activity.
Once the paint dries, have the kids use a glue stick to glue the head onto one side of the U and the tail on the opposite side.
They should glue the hooves to the back of the letter U! Lastly, glue the entire unicorn to a piece of colored paper!

#22: Letter V Volcano Craft
For a V letter preschool activity, we created a volcano! It’s the perfect collage to make for this letter, and your kids will love creating the lava part!
Using forks to paint is so fun! Your kids will love the prints that they leave.

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
B. Set-up
Create a trapezoid shape on brown paper and cut it out. Paste this to a white piece of paper!
Then, create a bubble letter V and paste it in the middle of the brown volcano.
Grab 3 forks and some washable paint! Dump the paint in a tray.
C. Activity
Have the kids dip the forks into the paint and make prints up out of the volcano to be the lava! They can make prints everywhere on the paper to show the lava is flowing out of the volcano!
Top it off with some cotton balls to be the smoke from the volcano. Glue these cotton balls on using regular glue!

#23: Letter W Weather Craft
For the W craft, we decided to make a weather craft! This is an excellent way to also talk about the different types of weather there can be with your little one!
This letter preschool activity was a blast because we used a bunch of different supplies.

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- construction paper
- glue stick
- scissors
- glue
- washable paint
- cotton balls
- snow glitter
- pipe cleaners
- wine cork
- markers

B. Set-up
Create a bubble letter W on a piece of white paper. Paste it to a piece of blue paper!
Create a few clouds using white and black paper to be the lightning cloud, rain, and wind cloud! I colored two of them gray! Also, create the lightning blots from yellow paper.
C. Activity
Talk about the different kinds of weather with your little one! See if they can name a few types of weather before you teach them.
For the sun, grab some yellow paint and have them dip a wine cork in it to create a few suns! Use a yellow marker to create the rays.
To make the rain, have the kids use Q-tips to make raindrops underneath one of the clouds.
Glue some cotton balls on for cloudy weather, and use snow confetti for snowy weather!
Lastly, create windy weather by curling up some pipe cleaners and gluing them down next to a cloud!
#24: Letter X Xray Craft
Coming up with a letter preschool activity for the letter X can be tricky!
For the X craft, we decided to make a xylophone! This is a fun way to work on cutting and gluing skills too!

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- construction paper
- glue stick
- scissors
- glue

B. Set-up
Cut strips of colored paper. They need to be different lengths, so start with the first red one being the longest. You’ll need to measure the rest out to make sure they are smaller than the one in front of them!
Then, create two strips of brown paper for the sticks and two circles out of red paper for the tops of sticks.
C. Activity
Have the kids glue down the strips of paper on a black piece of paper in order of longest to shortest!
Then, use the FREE X printable, cut that out, and paste it on top of the colored paper.
Glue the red circle tops on top of the brown strips to complete the sticks!
You can cut the black piece of paper to look more like a xylophone once all the pieces are in place!

#25: Letter Y Yarn Craft
For the letter Y craft, we used yarn and wrapped it around some cardboard letters!
This letter preschool activity is a great way to recycle and play plus work on those fine motor skills.

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- cardboard
- yarn
- tape
- scissors
- box cutter

B. Set-up
Using a pencil, create a bubble letter Y on cardboard. We did both an upper case and lower case letter. Use a box cutter to cut it out!
C. Activity
Grab some and tape the end on the back of the letter. Start wrapping it around the entire letter a few times; when you are done with a color cut the yarn and tape it to the back. Do this for each color that you want!
We did three colors on each one! The kids loved the challenge of wrapping, cutting, and taping!

#26: Letter Z Zebra Craft
For the letter Z craft, we created a zebra! This is such a cute craft and perfect for some cutting and gluing work!
I can’t believe we are already done with our letter preschool activities! It was so fun to put these all together.

How to do this activity
A. Materials you need
- white paper
- black cardstock
- glue stick
- scissors
- googly eyes
- acrylic paint

B. Set-up
On white paper, create a bubble letter Z and paste it onto a piece of black paper.
Create a zebra face and tail! Draw it on paper and cut it out.
C. Activity
Paint the zebra’s face and tail using acrylic paint. I like to use acrylic paint because it dries faster! Glue the googly eyes on the face.
Your little one can do this part, or you can! Cut some strips of black paper and paste them onto the zebra! This is a great way to also talk about measuring with your child too to make sure the stripes fit on the Z.
Paste the head at the top of the Z and the tail at the bottom!
